The Torah Portion of BESHALACH (בְּשַׁלַּח — Hebrew for “having sent,” the second word of the parashah) is the sixteenth weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה, parashah) in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading and the fourth in the Book of Exodus.[1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beshalach Parts of this Parsha is also read during Pesach and Purim.
This parashah tells of Pharaoh releasing the Israelites then pursing them to the Sea of Reads and the parting of the Sea for the Israelites to pass through. Manna, quail, and water is sent by HaShem to feed the people. The Amalekites attack the people but are defeated by Moshe and Joshua.
