The Torah Portion of Noach (נֹחַ, Hebrew for the name “Noah”, the third word, and first distinctive word, of the parashah) is the second weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה, parashah) in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading.[1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noach_(parashah)
This parashah starts with the generations of the righteous man Noach, and then records the incidents of the Flood, the Tower of Babel, and the cursing of Canaan. Then, it enumerates the original 70 nations. Additionally, it contains the giving of the seventh commandment for Noahides – the prohibition against eating a limb or flesh cut from a living creature.
